You don't have to tell the people of God to rejoice. We just do, because we are His people; we gather together in His presence with a joy that is God-centered, full of remembering God's faithful works, and overflowing with thanksgiving that is offered back to Him.

Current Sermon Series:
Two men are waiting for a train. The younger man asks the older man for the time, but he’s ignored. A moment passes and the younger man asks him again, again he’s ignored. Frustrated, he asks the older man, “Why won’t you answer me?” The older man sighs and explains:
“Look, if I tell you the time, we’ll start to talk. When the train comes, you might sit down next to me. Perhaps we’ll get to know each other, and maybe I’ll invite you to my house for dinner. Then you meet my daughter and maybe get along with her. Why, you might even get engaged! And why would I want a son-in-law who can’t even afford a watch?”
Sounds a bit irrational, doesn’t it? Yet, this happens too often, even among Christian circles. It was happening in the church in Rome, and so the apostle Paul had to address the issue of Love and Acceptance.
On Sunday, our study through the letter of Romans leads us to chapter 14:1-12 where Paul gives practical insight and counsel to fellow believers who were jumping to conclusions about some of the practices of their fellow worshipers. And it was all stemming from matters of preferences.
