Insurance vs. Assurance. What’s the difference between these two?
We all have purchased insurance for various necessities and luxuries such as health and medical, house and property, auto, life, disability, long-term care, and travel. When a person gives their life to Jesus, they are not primarily given “fire-insurance” to protect them from the eternal flames of hell, they are given the assurance that Christ’s life has now becomes theirs. They now can live life in absolute confidence for the pleasure of God and realize their ultimate fulfillment now and forever. Our assurance is sealed because Christ was victorious over sin and death when He rose from the grave. And because we are in Him and He is in us, we don’t need spiritual insurance, we have His assurance. We are blessed We are filled with HOPE.
